Dementia Friendly Manhattan is an initiative launched by the Flint Hills Wellness Coalition in 2021.

The mission of Dementia Friendly Manhattan is to make Manhattan, KS a more inclusive, supportive, and engaging community for people with dementia and their care partners. As the first community in Kansas to become affiliated with the Dementia Friendly America network of communities, we hope to raise awareness of this national movement within our own State of Kansas.

Dementia Friendly Manhattan aims to foster quality of life by affirming the experiences of people with dementia and their care partners, making them feel valued and empowered throughout their journey.
