Local Support Groups

 

Manhattan: Meadowlark Memory Care Partner Support Group

Location: Meadowlark Hills - Flint Hills Room & on Zoom

2121 Meadowlark Rd

The Meadowlark Memory Care Partner Group meets every Wednesday from 10–11am in the Flint Hills Room at Meadowlark.

The Memory Care Partner Support Group provides opportunities for discussion related to challenges of a caregiver and ways to cope with the daily struggles of providing care to a loved one with memory and/or cognitive changes.  

Meadowlark Memory Program staff facilitate discussions and provide education and resources related to specific topics as needed. 

 

New guests are encouraged to schedule a free consultation prior to attending groups or classes. Call or email to schedule and receive the Zoom link.

Manhattan: Alzheimer's Association Caregiver Coffee Chats

Location: Manhattan Senior Center of Riley County

301 N. 4th St

​

Meets the second and fourth Monday of every month from 10:30-11:30am for individuals who are a caregiver of someone with a dementia or memory loss diagnosis.

​

Individuals living with dementia are also welcome to attend and engage in conversation in a separate space as part of the Meadowlark Memory Program's Mindful Memories.

Wamego: Dementia Care Partner Support Group

Location: Wamego United Methodist Church

600 Lincoln Avenue

The Dementia Care Partner Support Group provides opportunities for discussion related to challenges of a caregiver and ways to cope with the daily struggles of providing care to a loved one with memory and/or cognitive changes.

Meadowlark Memory Program staff facilitate discussions and provide education and resources related to specific topics as needed. 

 

Meetings occur on the second Thursday of each month from 4:30-5:30 p.m at Wamego United Methodist Church.
